I’m excited to announce the launch of Social Impact World’s Networking membership.

This new membership grants members access to Social Impact World’s virtual Networking Lounge where they can connect with peers via video either bi-weekly or on-demand.

But that’s not all.

The Networking Lounge has a number of features that will help members build their professional networks, including:

• The ability to sync calendars making it easier to schedule time to meet with peers;
• Automatic peer-to-peer matchups based on shared interests; and
• A filterable member directory to proactively find the right people to connect when you want to go beyond bi-weekly matchups.

A better experience for members

Social Impact World’s Slack community has historically used an automated matching system for member connections, but it has room for improvement.

The new Networking Lounge is a far better experience and solves many of the problems with the existing system, such as:

• Not being able to opt-out of a peer-to-peer matchup
• No member director to proactively find people to reach out to
• No streamlined way of scheduling video chats without a lot of back and forth

If you’re a member of Social Impact World’s Slack community and you’ve participated in #thelounge channel, the new Networking Lounge will take your networking to the next level. If you’re not a member of the Slack community (I highly recommend joining), you can still get value out of the Networking Lounge with a Networking membership.
